Hi people I'm back in Singapore for er how many days already but was too busy to update haha.
Anyway to continue, on the 3rd day, i went for boat trip. It's romantic/freaky/nice/scary haha. It could have been a great ride but... Anyway, (places visited may not be in chronological order cause i forgot) i took a 2 hours bus ride to take a 1 hour boat ride to the tropical fruit place where we saw many fruit trees. =)) then we walked on to exit at some place where there are mini horses (but not pony) waiting for us. 5 of us plus 1 'driver' hopped onto 1 horse-carriage and sped off towards another area for lunch. The horses are soo cute but honestly, i pity them, they were running so fast and carrying such heavy people =(.
After lunch (didn't really enjoy the lunch, cause the place is like kampong, so the utensils not so clean =X sorry lah, i live in a 21st century city, hygiene is no. 1!), we carried on boating to a honeycomb area. Along the way, we saw some boys (and one of them naked) getting ready to jump into the sea for a bath, being excited adults, we all rush to take photos of them. sadly, one of the cameras dropped into the sea =( but it's not mine. From then, i was too afraid to take anymore photos =X So we enter a 'swamp-like' area where the route for the ship to take gets narrower. the route is surrounded by very pretty tall grasses (i donno what's that called), but it's a very romantic place. So we stopped and enjoyed a short Vietnamese song performance and quickly moved on to get onto the sampan. We had to take a sampan cause the place was too small for bigger ships. So 4 of us plus 2 rowers hopped onto a sampan. it is small, scary and not safe at all. We were pretty much fine until it starting drizzling. Not only that, the way out to the sea where our boat is is kind of long. PLUS PLUS, the rowers were female and what we say 'never eat rice'. They rowed pathetically slowly. Another Uncle and I even helped to row. The girl rowing in front is about 10 years old and she is bony. i think leaner than Yifeng =.= how scary it is when the drizzle became heavy rain =.= we were the 2nd sampan to move off but the 3rd sampan overtook us and disappeared while the 4th sampan caught up =.= sighh.. when it rains, it gets freaky (plus no life jacket and the water is at least 5-10m deep bah) at long last we reached the boat 90% of us were totally drenched. =( Nvm the drench part, just happy to be back on the boat.
Cause of the rain, we skipped the coconut candy factory and went back to land. Took another 2 hours bus ride back to District 1. Went back to hotel to shower and went out for dinner. Dinner at the place was super coffee. Vietnam's black coffee is super thick and one of my father's colleague ordered one. So he wanted to add hot water. We played the guessing game with the waiter (since he doesn't understand English) and he brought some sugar =.= Round no. 2, he brought a cup of ice =.= =.= Round no. 3, he brought a cup of ice water =.= =.= =.= and so we gave up and he finished the coffee. lol. but the food there is super oily and distasteful although other people claimed that it was SUPERRR NICEEE. Walked to the Co-op mart for some shopping. Grabbed some good offers before returning back to hotel area for dinner 2. after that, went back to the hotel to pack and rest.
Day 4, woke up really early in the morning at 6 for breakfast and rushed down to Ben Thanh Market for last minute shopping. Time was very packed cause of the afternoon flight. So didn't managed to get souvenirs for friends. super sorry =(
Return flight on SQ again, super love SQ haha. Finished watching Alvin and the Chipmunks.
Went to Buddhist union to pray first since it was Vesak Day and went home.
Next day still had to work.
Overall, it's a nice trip just sian cause no shopping haha. Vietnam's a nice place, but still got loads to work on =) Will return to Vietnam but not so soon, let it develop first haha
Next stop: Taiwan!!! no lah, im just planning the trip. also don't know when then can go.
